Cheatin'
Heart & Latest Tips..
Cheaters' Corner
You can't cheat your way to a top
license, but you can get one up on your competition during a real race.
Certain tracks?like Apricot Hill and Trial Mountain?have chicanes on them
that aren't bordered by walls. That's your cue to do a little "agricultural
racing" and cut those corners by driving through the grass or dirt
surrounding them. Sure, it's not the most noble way to win a race, but
come on ? we're in this for fun and profit, not to gain the respect of
a bunch of faceless competitors ... right?

Another tactic you might try is using other cars as bumpers. If you're
following an opponent into a turn and want to get past him, just don't
use your brake. Instead, hit him as he slows down for the turn. Basically,
it should put him into the wall and slow you down enough to make the turn,
relatively comfortably. Likewise, if you're in a turn and have a car on
the outside of you, accelerate early. Don't worry if you start to slide
out, since the car beside you will keep you on the track. Of course, he
might hit the wall in the process, Oh well, them's the breaks.

Oh...One Last Thing
Never forget to change your oil after every race or series in Gran Turismo
mode. When your oil light comes on, you can bet your car is about 20hp
less powerful than it should be. That may not sound like a lot, but it's
usually the difference between first or second place in the Professional
League.
